I’m Paul Mallen — a composer, producer, sound mixer and multi‑instrumentalist working across film, television and music.

I create work that blends technical precision with emotional clarity, whether I’m scoring to picture, shaping sound, or building songs from the ground up.

I’m a multi‑instrumentalist with 40 years of experience on bass, alongside guitar, keys, cello, double bass and saxophone.

Under G21 Music, I compose, mix and design sound for film, broadcast and digital media.

My work spans atmospheric scoring, acoustic‑driven themes and detailed audio post‑production, always with a focus on storytelling and tone.

As Paul Arden, I explore a more introspective side of my music — songwriting, acoustic textures and ambient soundscapes shaped by quiet moments, texture and space.

I’m a Royal Television Society Digital Innovation Bursary Scholar and a member of the RTS Technology Centre Committee, with a background in composition, audio engineering and on‑set sound. I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Music Production from Staffordshire University.

I’m currently developing new releases as Paul Arden while continuing to compose and mix for film and broadcast through G21 Music.
